To each his/her own. Personally I'm as big a fan of downtempo/chillout as I am of trance. Bent - Programmed To Love and Nightmares on Wax - Carboot Soul will always be top ten albums in my mind. Nightmares on Wax - Mind-Eye is, to me, one of the best songs ever. It has yet to grow the slightest bit old for me.

Mmm, I'm listening to Biosphere's Substrata right now.

Nothing like a good ambient CD + headphones and a dark room. Spacey. Try Substrata sometime if you get the chance, I'm hardly an ambient guru and I was able to get right into it. It's cold, distant and yet calming.

Only beautiful Chillout music is good, stuff that contain guitars, pianos and very nice lush vocals always makes me like it. Good synths in chillout makes me love it more... but there are just plenty of chillout out there that are just piss boring.. you must have listened to that version of it...
