Talking about Atari, in '84 when I was living in Madrid, Spain, I had an Atari 16 (16K memory!!) which also took cartridges but those were expensive though I loved my Donkey Kong and Defender games....

So, I bought the Atari tape player for loading games in. Remember those? Before the times of floppies. Would sit there and make fax machine noises for an hour to load in a game (and you could see the welcome screen forming line by line) and if something went wrong half way, you had to start all over!!!

Oh, and I later bought a memory UPGRADE to 64K, so now I had the biggest, baddest Atari on the block...

HaHa, I also remember our Sony beta VCR with a corded remote....what a pain in the ass!

I think my parents still have my old Atari. My fave was Ghost Manor. Those pixelled ghosts and skeletons were effing scary.

I remeber being in an elementary school computer class filled with PETs and CBMs...there was ONE Commodore 64 and everyone had to take turns using it

Even worse...I remember being *really* little and being in my friends' basement fooling around with their parents' CB Radio

Jeezus, I thought that group was a shame that I had to keep to myself.

I still love "Rasputin" and "Night Flight to Venus"

You are so right Max.

Dammit. For over 2 decades I have been singing Brown Girl in the Rain. Not quite as bad as when my sister thought the Who song "I Can't Explain" was actually "Dennis Quaid"...I let he sing that one about town for many months before pointing out her mistake.

LOL. It sucks when you think you're ABSOLUTELY sure about a song's lyrics, only to be proved wrong. I know I've done that before a few times and although it's such a small thing, doesn't it feel like part of your 'world' has come crumbling down?

(Forgive me, it's the morning and I have yet to wake up fully )

Max
