Wow, they really allow a big difference between channels in their quality testing.... Sounds like a load of crap to me.

Its only in the phono and not the lines and I mix using the lines and then cross over to phono. All I have to say is that its a very big pain in the ass.

EDIT: What about the auto gain thinge? Does it not work/not effect it?

EDIT2: I had a look at the data sheet. The problem must be the RIAA phono preamp.

Anoyingly it's just be the tolerances of a couple of resistors (they cost nothing basicly) maybe a cap (cost nothing either) which setup the gain of the preamp. Pretty gay for a $850 mixer....

I just feel that for the amount of money I spent the damn thing should work good.

if u bought 3 ranes and they dont fix this for u, i aint gonna by an empath myself either, thats bullshit

There's still hope... There are certified rane service centers around the country that you can take you empath too. If there's one nearby, have them look at it. If not get ahold of your dealer and they maybe able to replace it with another mixer.
