Actually, Liquid Todd spun for an hour and half before Oakey took to the decks at 12:30, spun a massive 2 hour set. He was having an awesome time, got my Drivers License autographed, got a flyer autographed by Oakey and one by Liquid Todd. My friend Skye got 2 T-shirts autographed by Oakey, one visor autographed by Oakey and LT, a Great Wall poster autographed that they had advertised in the club by Oakey, ticket stub, as well as Perfecto Presents Another World CD2 autographed by Oakey. It was a blast. Oakey definately was messing with the sounds during the show. He dropped some remix as the last song that was a mesh of Born Slippy with an 80's song as the lyrics, I was to up to remember a tracklist for this time. But I do remember him dropping a George Michael song, or maybe that was LT that dropped it.
Igor S - Boomerang (Igor S Mix)
4 Strings - Turn It Around (Sander van Doorn Vocal Remix)
U2 - Beautiful Day (Unknown Remix)
John 00 Flemming - I'm Not Fooled (JF Sebastian Mix)
Benny Benassi Presents the Biz- Love is Gonna Save Us
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Gabriel and Dresden Unplugged Mix)
Dj Tiesto - Traffic
Stel and Good Newz - Particle (Nick and John Dalagelis Mix)
Markus Schulz Presents Elevation - Clear Blue
Peter Martin presents Anthanasia - Perfect wave (Cheese in a can Dub)
When Oakey dropped Traffic, I swear, the whole dancefloor went nuts. I know I sure did at that point. Got to chat with Oakey at his tour bus after the show, that is when Skye got her autographs for the 2nd T shirt that she tried to get him to autograph in Phoenix. She told him the story about how he blew her off in Phoenix when she wanted her shirt autographed and of course he appologized and gave her the autograph on the shirt finally. Got the chance to go to an afterparty with LT, but that fell through as we were too messed up for that. All in all, it was a rocking show. The only negatives were that it was a tad bit HOT in there, and there were no signature Perfecto visuals at the event.
And, I just saw on the pauloakenfold.com site, they are using something called "Freefloaters" for the tour. Don't have a clue as to WTF they mean by that, but that would explain why no one was suppossed to be so close to Oakey during his show.
