Underworld are Underworld -- they're legends and have their rightful place in electronic music history. At least, IMHO, when Darren Emerson was with them. I can't say I enjoyed the Hundred Days Off album as much as their previous three albums as Underworld Mk. II.
They have a unique style, often anchored by Karl Hyde's unique angular vocals which are usually processed and recited in a way that seems "random". They do have trance influence, as heard on "Cowgirl" (you could take that riff out easily and put it into a peaktime pounder) but they are also techy and so many more things. That's the beauty of it, like greats like Orbital and Prodigy and others of the same "era", you can't just shovel them into one lump. 
My favorite Underworld tracks woule have to be the aforementioned, "Born Slippy" (prolly their best known), and "King of Snake". "Moaner" is one of those tracks that sounds like a bad idea on paper, but actually worked pretty well for its place in that Batman movie.
