I'm sorry but panucci is just awful. He has no talent and just heaps aimless balls forward. At this point in the tournament we don't need experience we need players who will get us thru the group games and that is imo, ferrari, I've watched him play a couple of time and he has been faultless in his performances.

the only reason di viao is in the squad is due to his past form, he is terrible at the moment and has no confidence in his own ability, wheras cassano is on top of his game. I think he is the only option up front to partner vieri.

i think either buffon or nesta would make the best captain, cannavaro hasn't got the leadership qualities, but is still imo the best defender in the world bar none.
