I completely disagree. Those people would have done that to any american regardless of who he was working for. The only thing that would stop them from doing this to an american aid worker would be the international backlash. They don't care, they are brainwashed to kill the "infidels". I despise the fact that people can say the magic word "religion" and even get away with murder like as if its okay. Its not okay to commit senseless acts in the name of religion. Be it from these beheadings to the catholic priest molesting little boys. Religion is no excuse for the failings of humans. Im not offended, im just stating how I feel about the whole religion card people throw out when trying to explain anything that is purely wrong. Also the thing is, their religion does not say beheadings are good in the name of God, this is a misinterpretation of what these terrorist want to believe in (for sake of making a statement and getting prisoners released), but most islamic preachers are purely against it, and say that publicly.

also one more question that came to my mind, suppose there was no such thing as religon in the world, wat other excuses could the terrorists use if they chose to commit these stupid acts?

Impossible for religion not to exsist, this world has too many indians and not enough chiefs...also, don't mistake every terrorist as some sort of crazed islamic al-qaida member, the world is full of many different types of terrorist who fight for many different reasons than religion.
