I just wanted to ask you a question about working out abs primarly, since you seem to know a pretty good amount of info. from what I have read. Ok, um, what do you suggest doing for excersize routines? Every night, 5 sets of 100 crunches or so? I want to try and tone my stomach up even more and work out the sides also to get that "v" affect lol. I would appreciate your advice on this! Thanks for taking your time out for helping me.
By the way, I do eat a lot of crap food too (I wont lie) but I do drink plenty of water, thats all I drink really. Just thought I would say that incase you asked about my eating habits (and I have a super fast metabolism)

Hey buddy...no sweat, I'm glad to help.
Part of the reason it's so hard for men to develop abs, is that is where our main collection of Alpha-B receptors lies (for women, it's the ass and thighs). Alpha-B receptors attract and harbor liposomes. a.k.a fat cells. Now it makes sense for men to have 'beer guts', or women to say, "everything I eat goes to my ass and thighs".
Regardless, one CANNOT spot reduce fat. Crunches will not tone your abs. Yes, they will develop the muscles, but you must burn the layers of fat in order to show definition. This leads me to my favorite motto - "Abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym."
For those who are thinking, "Wait Digital, muscle burns fat, so you're wrong." Yes, you're correct, but it's so inadequate that it will rarely amount to anything you'll ever see.
If you want my instructions on how to define your abs, I'll tell you that if you eat like shit, as I state in my document (linked above) - cut out the shitty condiments, no more fried food, kill the sweets, and drink water instead of soda and juice.
Any saturated fats, trans fats, hydrogenated oils, and excess sugars you consume are simply obstacles in your path. You get on the treadmill, run a few miles, ride the bike, in order to burn fat (in the area your body chooses), eventually defining your abs. Any shit that you eat has to get worked off before your body fat starts to burn. It is fairly safe to believe that, since most people eat like shit, the cardio in your exercise barely works off the demons in your diet I listed above.
Abs are not easy to develop. They demand a very religious diet. I, myself, eat not for pleasure, but to achieve goals. I would much rather have my body look the way it does than to eat piza or macaroni and cheese. Also note that it is much easier to stay at the level you're at than to get to where you're at. For instance, I have a six pack, and very good muscle definition. I also have a fast metabolism. I can cheat every few days, and my cardio will burn it off.
Lastly, developing your lower abs demands very little OR NO CHEATING. See the document I linked above for nutrition info, because that is the key to fat burning - eating clean and cardio.
