Gah fuck the BBC. They don't avoid adverts out of the goodness of their hearts ffs, they have no need to advertise. Because we're legally required to subscribe to their service at £120 a year. How can this be the best thing about our country?
It's a fucking wank system, and the programs are shit too.
Grr.
werd. apart from their footie coverage, which imo disregarding adverts is still superior on the whole, the quality of the non-sport related programs is dire.
LOL i never made the thread on which is the best channel to watch in general, i said which is the best channel for Euro 2004 footy coverage.
I particularly don't watch anything on Tarestrial until i go to bed at 11ish and usually just watch sommet before i doze off or something. I watch Sky most of the time.
BBC all the way for EURO2004 COVERAGE

The programs might be shit, but compare them to the quality of the programming on any of the other channels, and I think you’ll agree it’s miles better. Channel 4 is the only one that comes close.

Piffle!
You cant tell me Prole-o-vision 5 and Shite-TV are better. The news on ITV is blatantly based, and channel 5, well really! The documentaries and current affairs programs on BBC are the best on offer and you can’t compare any of the documentaries of discovery et al which were ok the first time, but are nothing but repeats.
The only thing I don’t like about the beeb is that part of the licence fee goes towards running channels that not everyone can get because they don’t have digital. The the government does want to switch off all terrestrial service by something like 2010, so they’re probably leaning on the BBC to get them to move towards it.
