yeah 3-0 was definitely too much, it was more even than that. just the czechs knew how to take their chances, while denmark had the ball all the time but couldn't even create chances.

it was another bad quarter-final i am afraid. apart from the goals, especially that fantastic 2-0 from baros . i am confident though that the last few 3 games will be at the level of the great shows of the group stage, and the portugal x england drama.

the first half made me sleep

how can a team have 2/3 of ball possession and yet not create any danger at all ???

in retrospect all 1/4finals (except POR-ENG) first halfs were 'dull' , logically because it needed one goal to 'unlcck' the game !

the first half play of the Danes reminded me of the German play, complete control of the ball with no one penetrating the defense of the other team. No talent offensivly

They got what they deserved.

I think this was another case of the scoreline flattering the victors. There's no doubt they deserved it, but 3-0 hides an average performance by the Czechs, they did what they had to while the Danes seemed to lack any inspiration.

The Danish defence was caught sleeping in the space of 20 minutes and paid a heavy price. To be fair two of the three goals were made through amazing through balls to Baros, but nevertheless in both instances the Czechs didn't have many men forward to cause the Dane's problems yet it all looked too easy. For the first goal it was a difficult one to defend, but you could see Sorensen come out of his box to claim it and then change his mind and back off, you can't afford to be indecisive for crosses like that. The second goal, whilst made from an awesome through ball from Poborsky, again looked all too easy as Baros glided through the defence. He has a bit of pace but it seemed like the Danes were stuck between playing the offside trap and man-marking. They did neither, indecisiveness and a lack of concentration costing them again. The third was similar, and Sorensen should have done a lot better as the shot was straight at him and ended up in the middle of the goal.

The Czechs are a more attractive side to watch than the Danes so I doubt many neutrals will be upset by this result. I think Czech Republic v Greece may be the more exciting of the two semi-finals.

I almost thought Denmark would win for a while

Czech Republic will probably win the whole Euro 2004
