tbh I think the spyware thing is a myth/paranoia, I've never come across any conclusive evidence
The adverts are annoying though.

Thats pretty paranoid jeff. Windows messenger is a part of xp so if microsoft wanted to stick stufff in they could just put it in the OS. Why bother putting it in the messenger. And while messenger products are used for idle chit chat they can also be used for techsupport internal to multi locationed companies. And even if they did spy on you what would they find? Your not higing osama are you?
am knew to the UKTA section , formerly an AU:TA (aussie ta)..have moved to london (been 2 months) ..and looking forward to goto some of the london gigs.....PVD @ heaven! in a few weeks.
