I know everything about sj's stupid stupid tickets
u will probably get the cheapest ones if u buy the tickets asap. if u buy a ticket, like 3 days before, it gets more expensive. hmm
"just nu" isnt always the cheapest alternative.. change (in the dropdown menu) to "2 klass öppen" as well and compare the prices.
There is a big catch with the "Just nu"-tickets and that is:
U can't really cancel your booking (so to speak) once u've booked the "Just-nu-ticket" and get your money back. Here comes the tricky part...if you want to cancel the Just nu-ticket and let's say it was 300 SEK, SJ (the company) will take more than 100 SEK as a punishment hehe I really don't understand why they do. AND if you want to cancel the booking you have to tell em at least 7 days before and they will still take 1/3 of your money. If you call em and want to cancel the booking lets say 6 days before.. you wont get any money back at all!
hmmm what more about the Just nu-tickets.. right.. the earlier (date) u book em, the cheaper it gets.. BUT check the 2-klass tickets as well.. the prices differ.
hum... right.. and when u book the ticket.. do it over the Internet and choose "Kontokort/Hämta ut" when u pay for the ticket. that's the easiest way, trust me.. since they dont send the tickets to USA (I spose)
Kontokort means Credit card and u just pay it over the Internet.. and "Hämta ut" means u can get it at the station (stockholm central station that is) yourself. You just go to the big grey ticket machines ( I dont know what to call em) I can take a picture of one and post it if you want.
These machines have a "touch-screen" so u use your finger and press the "Hämta"-button then u will get to this screen where u have to type your "booking number" after u've pressed OK, u will get the ticket in your hand
oh and yes... u get the booking number in the end when you book your ticket online.
It's kind of hard to see, cause its a strange page when they present the number. I'll post a picture soon. (I have to book tickets myself tonight)
oh and to that first question. You dont need to bring anything in particular, that I can think of. Passport, money, camera and you fav. candy from home I guess.
oh and btw.. if u have any questions regarding transport from Arlanda airport to Sthlm central station. just ask
oh about SJ again.. if u really need to call them and cancel a ticket. here is the number
0771-757575
and press "1" when u hear the voice
(domestic)
