Thanks to everyone who made it out. Next week may be our last hurrah, so if you can make it out, we can make sure we go out in style.

Gotta give props to the guys for holding it down rather nicely tonight. I won't be there next week; gotta support Mike & Koma @ Insomnia, but I know you guys will make me proud. Thanks also to Raymond, Pete, and Albert for the beers.

Monkey Dancer 2 MONKEY DANCE!

Indulge me too. I thought Nuno was impressed yesterday... I mean, he loves this stuff! I think next week we need to DJ for his patrons, not for ourselves. If no one is dancing, maybe we should act crazy in the DJ booth and start throwing down some stuff people know. Not like stuff from 2001 (I felt like I was back in 2001 last night) but new and popular stuff. There is a lot of great new vocal trance out now and we need to pump it next week. If next week is our last week, which I doubt, we need to go out with a bang!

Calm down folks, Trance Nation @ Nuno's is not coming to an end. And as far as next week being Dave's and my last hurrah, it's undecided as of yet so put that thought on hold.

Yeah, didn't mean to alarm anyone, but the night is still happenin' as planned. I DO like playing the classic tracks, but I'm starting to feel like its not me playing in that booth. I think its very possible to play your style AND have people dance. People will dance if they're feeling the vibe, not solely on whether they recognize a song or not. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I distinctly remember people dancing during my set when the turnout was relly good in the second week. I won't say that I play for myself, but what I do is try to represent myself musically. All the tracks I play represent a part of who I am and for me to play something that does not interest me is like me telling a lie. I take this very seriously and can only compromise so much. Once again, thanks to everyone for supporting and I will see you next week.

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. Love Poundin' Sensation Just my point of view..

Nuno just wants to get more people out on the dance floor. Who can blame him? He wants his club to do well and wants Trance Nation to continue onwards in all of its glory. Sometimes it takes a certain kind of music to get that vibe out on the dance floor. You don't necessarily have to play old vocal tracks. There are plenty of new vocal tracks out there. Vocal tracks are what get people out on the dance floor. Mix it up with some great instrumental tracks like the new Ferry Corsten etc. DJs should have the feeling to represent themselves musically, however they also have a job to appeal to the public and get things moving on the dance floor. You can be the best DJ out there, but it means nothing if no one is dancing to you. Now I don't know what happens, but I do remember that two weeks ago alot of people came up to see their DJ friends play. Yes, this is good and all, but you have to appeal to outside of your network. Last night there was hardly anyone dancing until some of the more vocal trance was being played. I think just get some of that new stuff coming in. I mean come on Delirium’s Silence is sooooo 2001. Its goodie, but an oldie. Rank 1 I can see, but maybe that’s because I am a die-hard Rank 1 fan (haha). Ian Van Dahl just came out with a new album and it’s freaking awesome (I just got the Can't let you Go single - US release with 10 remixes). Go abroad and find your music. You don't always have to be loyal to local record stores. Alot of the best stuff comes from the U.K. US releases generally suck. You all just have to find some initiative. Yeah you might not get want you really want to play, but what DJ has in their early careers?
