WHAT ? That made no sense at all. Care to break down that complex analogy for someone not as smart as you, jayx1 ?
Here's the way i see it. You're the kind of guy who no one listens to outside a club (real life), so you walk into the booth (Toronto Music Forum) while the DJ (mods) has his back turned. Pull the record off the needle, grab the micro phone (your computer) in hand, and start shouting the same thing over and over again. When people look up to you in surprise and point you to the appropriate venue where you can voice your concerns (the political forum), you just shrug and play dumb. Why ? Well, i'm sure everyone who has montiored your posting habits in the last few months will probably have their reasons. I'd say you're just bored, and enjoy the prospect of stirring up a debate, no matter how pointless it is or where it takes place. I'd go on to suggest that the reason you won't take your posts to the political section is because there you actually run the risk of facing opponents who will step forward and take you on...in the process tearing your argument to bits. Posting here just seems the safer option because most of us will just give you shit -- and attention, which you along with a few others on the board love to crave.
So back to my analogy...there you are, with the power in your hand, on your soapbox...er, i mean locked up inside the booth (the Toronto Forum), screaming over the mic that this is a place where ALL topics should be discussed...basically, everything you deem to be important. Then proceed to ramble on and on, spewing forth rhetoric while the rest of the bewildered masses just look up in shock horror hoping someone kicks you the hell out, and turns the music back on.
A little bit longer then yours...and not quite as eloquent. But i think you get the jist of it.
