And to be fair, I don't have any issues with the Vestax decks as they are actually well made even if they are a little over priced in my opinion (or at least the last time I looked he he).

And the Technics isn't even expensive because they know people will buy it...
The Technics was designed 25 years ago. That means all electronic components are used 25 years ago. These days that stuff was pretty exotic, and Panasonic (mothercompany of Technics) is scared to death of changing the MKII because they're afraid they'll make a wrong adjustment.
The MKIII and higher are definetly too high priced.
Furthermore: ASTS turntables (e.g. the Vestax TT's with a straight arm) are ONLY favorable for serious scratching. If you use it for normal mixing, the advantages of ASTS will not overpower the disadvantages.
And when it comes to trance, there's hardly any opportunity to use three decks. I did found some awesome combinations though, for instance Passive Resistance - Praiseworthy Tunes (Hoipolli mix) together with Tiesto & Junkie XL - Obsession (Frank Biazzi mix). You could definetly tell which people in the crowd knew those two records because they went wild . And then use the third deck to mix the next record in.
