since when is giving praise and some verbal/textal credit to people trying to make a difference and help promote an obviously languishing scene (by your standards) equate to 'sucking up'

you engaged in sexual innuendo whilst in primary? was gavin hopper your p.e teacher? there there, he's gone now, to a place where he cant touch you again.

however i kinda agree with you, there are some dickheads present in the melb scene. its fair to say, that goes for most cities. except sydney, where there's none. none at all.

i dont know about you guys, but when i get a new vinyl or download a new set, i dont ask myself "hey, i wonder if this DJ/producer is a wanker or not?"

couldn't give a fuck whether the melb "scene" is full of wankers or not -as long as the good tunes are playing who really gives a shit?
you dont need to put up with any wankers if you dont want to.

christ. such children.

i agree with soups too, theres nothing wrong with providing praise/support to a DJ/producer that gave you some good tunes to play at home or provided you with a good night.

born slappy seems to be obsessed with the people instead of the music. kinda the wrong way round imo.

there are some exceptions - the ones that dont wear "phats" and break conversations down to primary school level full of sexual innuendos. oh and that dont suck up to any self promoting dick flogging off his new mix of a different order of the same tracks that all the others are playing.

But i think thats pretty impossible (finding exceptions), even moreso in the trance / dance / hard dance /call it what you want / shit scene.

melb scene = a load of bunk for that reason.

Are u a bit depressed

But that was just a dream, That was just a dream, But that was just a dream, Try, cry, why try? That was just a dream ,Just a dream, just a dream, Dream

If you like melodic prog to trance then UNIFY@twofloorsup on september 11 will suit you to a tee... Funny how other nights are now doing what we have been for a while now. ;-) If you cant make that party, then wait for the next one.

PM me also, would love to hear your mix on cd, we have a guest spot at every event.
