If the CD is special, I surely buy it because the quality is typically a little better and it does mean more to me (art, pics, etc).

Anyway, most of the ones I get are live mixes which is strictly from the radio broadcasts so I don't think that's a problem.

But realistically, am I going to pay $40 for an import CD to have it shipped to me? Sorry, I'm not that rich and I'm a fanatic for new tunes. I've seen Armin like 4 times which equates to somewhere of $130+. That's supporting him. Plus, I gave those clubs a lot of booze $$.

If I didn't download from some people, then I would have never liked them and then wanted to see them when they visited. I would think, who the hell is this Markus Schulz guy?

Definetly Agreed, and when you pay for the performances it just them spinning records, sometimes you could do better at home with winamp and mp3's. Dont get me wrong, sometimes the experience is awesome as well. In one way or another we all end up supporting the artist.

"Not a full EDM addict" dont you mean im not close minded about my music like most of you.

Its not right to come into a site like trance addict and then Stereo type us. Yes we are here because we like trance (did you know some of us no longer like trance, or grew out of it and are still here just for the people they met) but we have other likes as well and we are all individuals.

Well duh everyone knew PVD - Reflections sucked what a horrible album and DJ Tiesto Just Be was okay but you should have checked it out first.I notice most by one the artist owns stuff won't always be as great. I think complation albums are way more better

I know very well who Markus Schulz is and I like it a lot. Just a difference in opinion. His latest comp CD got rave reviews...

Perhaps I'm getting older (chilled is cool) and have liked trance now for 5 1/2+ years so what I like does change.

Artists albums are always a mixed bag. They always have filler in there. PVD "Reflections," AVB "76", Tiesto "Just Be" are all kind of lame to me taken in total. But they got some good parts.

yeah i agree...the first year i was into the scene i was only about trance...now im breakin into different genres...now more hardhouse and tech-house...and i tend to like livesets and remixes better than the original versions of artists' songs...

neways like i said, to each their own...i dun come on here to criticize ppl's tastes. we're jus contributing what we think, thats all...

oh btw Just Be - Forever Today, Clouds (forgot the entire title sorry!) n Adagio for Strings - omg...

anyone suggest any albums i should pick up? Any type of music could be fine.

So far im looking into

Zabielas new Cd
and Oakenfolds new cd

what else do you suggest?

and to go back to topic for dreo

i've been stuck on Zabiela's ALiVE CD for awhile. i havnt heard a whole lot of his live sets nor his firste CD but this one totally gets me bumpin everytime i listen to it. its in my Top3 along with GU13 and balance005

i've heard good things about oakie's creamfields and the tracklist looks promising, though i havnt given it a listen yet... but i'd still recommend.

coldharbour session is pretty good too, you can feel that schulz sound, melodic progressive trance, i guess you could call it though i hate genre naming (so put whatever you feel like). its a good listen to calm and relax but like it was said before if you want some more energenic trance, then go ASOT2004

all in all... just get both

my 2cents

forums are here for ppl to contribute their opinions...ppl agree, ppl disagree. happens all the time.
