Ok, here our points of view differ. It doesn't matter, I can't say I am right and you are wrong, nor can you.
In my point of view the genre Uplifting Trance is equal to cheeze. When you learn to truely see the beauty of more complicated forms of music and you really like to appreciate them (Ehmmz, like techno or progressive). You can't appreciate something like Uplifting Trance the way you did before. So that's the reason why I see Uplifting as cheeze.
Well, you think what I say is bull-shit. That's allright, we both will stick to our points of view. But this is the way I think.

I certainly go clubbing... I don't know how things are in England, but here in Holland it isn't only Uplifting what they spin in clubs.
In most of the clubs here they don't spin Uplifting trance, coz it would only attract little kids. You know, it mostly are young people who go crazy for Uplifting trance (here in Holland that is, don't know how it is in other countries). That is because Uplifting trance is one the most approachable forms of electronic music, which also is a reason why Uplifting isn't worth much for me.
| quote: | | Jukx, you have missed the major part of the quote, some of Rank 1's stuff may have leeched into the commercial sector, but nevertheless it is not lame, cheesy or shitty |
Ehh boy_luke_y2k, it is obvious we use other criteria on judging a song about it's lameness, cheezieness and shittyness. So if you want to convince me give me arguements instead of repeatedly saying it is not lame, cheesy or shitty without explaining why.

Go on then, you seem to have used at least one of those words in every one of your posts. Zombie Nation 2000, is techno, and as you would say that is cheesy. And also, you say Uplifting Trance isn't complex, how about any Fire & Ice song?
Just out of interest can you stand the stuff what Mauro Picotto does, especially the early stuff like Lizard?

"Zombie Nation" is garbage and I wouldn't call it techno. Dave Clarke did a remix of it, perhaps that's why it's classed as Techno.

Ok every1, especially me Paul and Jukx. I think its time we stop this arguing, we aint goin nowhere, sorry 4 the double negative, just had 2 get the point through. If it carries on I'm gonna ask a moderator to close the thread. OK?
Jukx, I think we be both guilty of twisting words, I don't like being called , but we all gettin' a bit too overheated in this debate. I think what needs to be said here is that we must respect each others taste in music, and I like techno, don't get me wrong, it got me into electronic music 4 god's sake, but we should appreciate other music and be careful b4 we judge. This thread was meant to be a poll for, well what the title is. NOT a bloody slanging match between TRANCE VS TECHNO.
Evry1 friends, OKAY
No more arguing coz we aint gettin anywhere. Anyway why should we argue between electronic genres, when there is loads of shitty music floating around, radio music, not our underground stuff OK!
