i say. if you have something use it.

i don't use it very often but there are times on a nice, big system that some cuts with a crossfader can sound pretty fucken cool.

but when i play on three turntables + cdjs i can't be bothered to keep assigning the fader so screw it.

I never use the x-fader. In fact I have it taped in position so it stays directly in the center.

when i just started, i did. Until one day my friend came over and showed me its better to use the upfaders. Ever since then i used the upfaders, eq , etc. Works good for me.

But every now and then i try to scratch and i have to use the crossfader.

Upfaders do seem to give you much better control over the volume, but it seems that it doesn't sound too good to have them both all the way up at the same time.

it depends on wat mixer i use. if i use the vestax pcv175, then i would use the crossfader.
