yeh its a hobby, but i'm curious as to how much I could get if I became serious coz the equipment is pretty expensive - we arent all made of money you know...so for the benefit of the not-so-loaded people dyu think you could make enough money from your first release or two to cover the cost of the equipment / software?

dude, just see what happens, you ahve to make good music to get signed in the first place, you shouldnt be thinking about all this shit if you havnt even started producing yet. get reason, make some tunes, then when u can afford to u can get equipment, your looking at this the wrong way round. ull get know where if all you want is money, coz it takes a fuckin long time before youll make any money

id say reason or fruity are both nice to start in. and both are certainly capable of producing some releasable music

i use reason for most of my stuff. any vst that i might wish to use i do in cubase, then any audio edits ill do in cubase.

Hoping to upgrade to mac soon and get my head round logic

really?
i heared your music and i thought you are on cubase\logic lol

i think that if you (or anybody else ocfcourse) use reason, then you should rewire her into cubase

cause working without any vst's (except those that came in reason)

scary thought
