Yea, but that complexity you talk about is only a factor in a small number of globe trotting dj's, the other 85% of them do just fine with a laptop and maybe some cd's.
And no, Q-Bert might not be using a PC right now, but he does use cd's, so give technology time and I'm sure he'll be innovating use of them.
I find it funny how people who like "electronic music" are usually some of the biggest geeks, but when it comes to performers using technology - they can be the biggest snobs about them embracing technology.
