Isn't that track before Trance? More like hardcore/techno? If it was released outside of Germany, I don't think it could be described as Trance 10 years ago...

uh...there is nothing about this track that says hardcore/techno. it was released in 1994...and was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ahead of its time. it's completely timeless...you can still hear dj's can it from time to time...and the people still love it.
as far as being before trance...i think trance as a genre came into being, for me at least, with the Eye Q record label back in 1991...and that was even a little earlier than this tune...so i don't believe it to be pre-trance...i would say its a great example of it actually.
