its not the fact he mixes with mp3, its the fact that he used an illegal rip of max's new track thats not even been released yet, makes it pretty obvious the guy in this case has either cut the track out of a live set or has obtained it from elsewhere illegaly!
Max knows who the promo's went to and the guy who did this mix was not one of them.

i definately agree that the problem is playing a track he didn't get legally, then recording it & sending it to people. But this is all caused by ripping tracks to the net, since he obviousely did not obtain a promo vinyl/cd, and the label/max did not send it to him. If you have a legal mp3 and feel like playing go for it.
shit like that sucks...

if you apply the same logic, then i can quite happily steal your car or burgle your home, that sort of thing is going to happen, just accept it . . . does not make it right thou (yes i know u said u dont condone it but look at it from both sides).
we have police forces who try to prevent others stealing your property or catch those that have, members of the public help the police out, so apply the same logic again, max and the riaa for example have a valid reason for preventing the use of illegal mp3.

err
there is a slight difference i think. For a start stealing a car is a criminal offence... whereas breach of copright isnt. Downloading an mp3 doesnt even fall under breach of copyright and its a very grey area (different rules for diff countries etc...)
but anyway
like most of these websites... TA is 'associated' with a hub where users can download music, yet publicly everyone is very 'anti mp3'. I just think its a bit hypocritical when an artist comes on complaining about something, then everyone agrees with him, when theyve probably all downloaded the track anyway.
Im sure you have a lot of mp3's on your computer, just as everyone else does. The only difference is that you have the wit not to include these tracks in any set / cd that you would produce. Just because you dont talk about it doesnt mean it doesnt happen. That was my point.
