That's exactly how James Joyce got started.

That's interesting, I'm going to look it up

The reason why I added that message in my sig IS because of those who know well the language (and that are also willing to help a poor foreign student, hehe). There are many details I need to work on, such as commas (I still use them according to the Portuguese Grammar) and prepositions.

Thanks, but I still need to improve it in order to take the exams I want to. In fact, I had to look the meaning of "grasp" up in the dictionary

I've seen Darude play a dj set before and he sucked so bad. He trainwrecked like 5 times and he played like 10 versions of sandstorm. Needless to say, he wasn't worth the 10 bucks that I payed to get into the club.

Dear TA,

If he knew what the untitled track names were, do you think he would have posted the tracknames as "untitled"? Thank you for your support in this matter.

Sincerely,
The Management

I know most of us don't like Darude, but hey.

He's still one of my favorites and I still listen to his stuff every once in a while.

Have fun Lira. Tell us about it when you get home.

No worries. I was just letting him know that they weren't errors, per se. I am a comma junkie, using them wherever I see fit. Either way is alright, in my mind.

Sucking (you're entitled to your opinion), trainwrecking (yeah, I do that everytime, are you sure you and your notebook didn't miss one or two wrecks?), sure... But I've NEVER played Sandstorm or any of my tracks "like 10 versions" at one gig. Get your facts straight, dude. I might've spun Ss 1,5 times a couple of times because either the crowd or the buyer has "demanded" so but even that's rare, maybe 10 times out of the 800-1000 gigs I've played.

Lira, I'm glad you liked the BMF2004 as much as I did!

Oh btw, the two other people on stage with me were Mikko the percussionist and Wille the VJ.

I'll be honest. I got tired of Sandstorm. It is a good track that became so big that people began to dislike it. Not your fault at all. I've never seen you spin, so I'm not gonna say anything about it. I did hear you were at Rise, in Denver, wearing a shirt that was humorous, making fun or yourself or something. I can appreciate that. It is good to have a sense of humour about this stuff. If it ever gets to the point where djing isn't fun, I'm gonna quit. Don't take it too personally if someone rips you, as you can't please everyone. For each person that loves a set list, there is a good chance you can find someone else that doesn't. Sure most people who come to see you will enjoy it, but you always have a few naysayers. Maybe you had an off night, or maybe the acoustics sucked in the club creating the "off" sound. I've heard a lot of great djs off their game. It's somewhat dissapointing, but it happens to all of us.

Anyway, just keep doing what you enjoy.

I saw Darude in Columbus in Columbus, OH sometime in early 2002. Even though I dont favor that kind of music as much now, back then it was a fun night. If you like the kind of music he makes, youll like what he spins. Glad you had a good time too.

Renegade, impressive grammar check.

Well, I don't. Of course I know there are a lot of people who don't like my music or my live/dj sets and I can appreciate that because I don't like all the music and all the performes/djs in the world... But there's a difference between disliking someone's music/performance and telling wrong/hear-say facts as truths. THAT I don't like. So many times (like 9 out of 10 or 49/50) I think that it's not even worth commenting and usually I don't but sometimes it's just enough... On these forums it's so easy for these 'I-know-it-all' people to come and 'shine' but it only makes me laugh usually and arises a question of their (non-existing?) life outside the virtual world.

Yeah, I'm off a little here'n'there pretty much everytime I spin, whoa, big deal... Perfect night for me is not necessarily 100% mixing (which happens every now and then for me, geez! ) but a night with a great vibe, great music and a whole lot of interaction between the dj/performer and the crowd. You can then tell by my ear-to-ear grin that I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I know how to mix and of course I'd like to be perfect everytime but shit happens, what can you do?
(Dear club-police, sharpen your pencils and turn a clean new page of your trainwreck notebook!)
