Sorry for the late review. Got back from DE about midnight.
First, Mark Pappas, you tore shit up!! Kudos to you for playing some banging stuff to get us into a dancing mood!!!
Here's my honest review of Tiesto. I thought he was really good. The beginning hour of his set was a little too melodic for my taste, but there were some great tracks. I thought his mixing was on point and track selection was really good overall. He def had some great energy, and he was really into his set, dancing around behind the decks in the booth. I think hearing Silence & Adagio For Strings were the highlight of his set. My only real complaint is that he didn't care enough for his fans to give them an encore. WTF is that about? Not a good move in my book. It's like he came and played, then took his $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and bounced. whatever.
The club itself was nice. The layout was phat and the crowd was friendly. A tremendous homosexual turnout. I'm all cool with that and freedom of expression, but it became a little overwhelming at points. Some of the stuff that was going on should have been saved for their bedroom. Not because they were gay, because I hate to see a straight couple groping & making out in the middle of a dance floor, but because Other people came to dance, not watch you dry hump in the middle of the floor. But if that's what floats their boat, then good for them. It's just not my cup of tea.
