I think it's a soundcard problem or the wires.

I am using 'BitTornado-0.3.7' to handle the *.torrent files from the site so that I can download the applications.
Download that and install it.

then click on the [SoundForge7]*.torrent file that you downloaded and the download of the soundforge7 application will initiate.

Wow. I bought the Inport external soundcard and its amazing ! Honestly the sound quality of my mixes has improves 100%. Especially the mid and low frequency of the mix. Very clear and crisp. I also noticed the improvement in sound via the internal grounding feature in the soundcard. I no longer hear faint buzzing noises in the set.The level monitor for the LP recorder is much more accurate than what I was using before.

Only shitty thing is that is doesnt include an MP3 encoder. It only records the file as a wav. Im still using Roxio to encode my MP3's.

Any recommendation for MP3 encoders?

Will soundforge be the best option?

P.S.

Fuck , I wish I had this external sound card before. My mixes would have sounded so much better.

no, soundforge is infact a terrible mp3 encoder...

my suggestion, go over to download.com and search for CDex. it is easily one of the best MP3 decoders with a wide variety of options. it is also great because it was built especially around the LAME MP3 encoder which you will find is among the best encoder of WAV files without loosing any fidelity.

I've heard that for best sound quality, it is better to encode an MP3 with a VBR betwee 128kbps and 320 kbps. VBR method 0, joint stereo.

i'm sure you can tons of information on this online, but CDex is the way to go for MP3 encoders...

maybe try to right-click on the file in file manager, then scroll to properties.
There will be a button called "change". Click on the 'change' button and see if 'bit tornado' is available in the file type list.

or...Maybe you can try to rename the file and append with the ".torrent" extension. You may have to change your 'folder view' to use 'details' and 'display extensions' or something like that.

just somethings to try....

i just re-read your post...

you might need Winrar to extract the sound forge binaries from the file you downloaded.
