Well I just came back home from the after party he played...he started very good but is mixing aint really good (altho that doesnt metters much IMO)
he started prog trance to uplifting trance and went tech trance and even hardstyle...which was odd
He was nice but I've seen better...ferry,armin,tiesto are better

Another bash Oakenfold thread to gain "street cred" in the Trance community. Boring... You should give credit where credit is due. This guy was literally the catalyst behind the Electronica scene. He is one of the reasons it is where it is today.

Yea, he did tons for the scene, but the key word there is DID. Just because he did soo much for the EDM scene to get it where it is today does that mean that whenever he puts on a half-assed show (which is becoming the rule rather then the exception) we should all just look the other way and say "Well, Oakie has done so much for EDM that he's allowed to stop trying so it's alright."??? I don't think so, if he plays sets like he can't be arsed to put forward an effort then, past accomplishments aside, how can you respect that?? I can't.

I saw him a few weeks ago here in vegas.....7 trainwrecks and 3 stop start mixes in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Plpus there was absolutely no set flow.
needless to say he was the worst overall dj I have ever seen. But I am sure he is capable of putting on a good show sometime.
