funnily enough, you seem to identify anything that is uplifitng and melodic as cheese, but that isn't what cheese is imo.

I noticed this too. He/she prefers the harder trance and/or techno side of EDM ( as seen by other posts ). This explains the prefernce or dislike for more the 'uplifting' trance.

Like I always say you cant be 100% 'uplfiting' or 100% hard techno becuase it becomes boring and annoying. Thus I prefer the many style of EDM within limits though

of course anjuna is cheesy, the sooner people accept this the better. All the tracks on it use very very obvious ways of making a track 'interesting' - really ott riffs and big drumrolls...

its obvious music, obvious fun music IS cheese. There is nothing wrong with it.

every type of music is obvious once youve heard enough of it. techno, prog, huose is obvious once you hear the same shit in day in and day out. and the whole point of a label is to represent a particular sound. therefore according to your theory... all music = cheese. anyway...

no, what ive said is accurate. Trance of that style uses more obvious ways of reaching mass appeal. Proggy stuff doesnt use such obvious drumrolls & riffs by its very definition. Thats not to say one is better than the other, its just a simple fact that anjuna trance is fairly high up on the cheese league. Being cheesy doesnt make it shit (although IMO a lot of it is). But this has nothing to do with it being cheesy, a lot of the most fun music is cheesy & theres nothing wrong with liking it.

What is wrong is people getting offended when someone calls anjuna cheesy. It IS cheesy, just accept it and move on.
