pitching change for Cards in 3rd inning
almost surely helps Sox if they can get the starting pitchers out early, as the Cards middle relievers aren't too strong

looks like the Cards are dealing intentional unintentional walks to Ortiz, which might be a smart thing to do

man, Wakefield started out well, but then walked 4 batters in the 4th inning, and gave up 3 runs, making the score 7-5, and the Cards are back in it

He's in now. But now if Varitek somehow gets hurt or something, they have no one to take over for catcher. I think that's a silly move on Francona's part. I would've left Mirabelli in till a big RBI spot or something came up later in the game.
