i believe that when you work out, you should establish a rythm. if music helps you do that, wheither it be trance, techno or other, all the power to ya. Also, everyone has emotional attachment to specific songs. lets say, for example, that you've just broken up with you're girl friend and "your song" was... gamemaster. you're listening to gamemaster, and your workout is going to change completely. Your emotional reaction will change your tempo and everything. so yeah, its all depends on your emotional attachment to the song your listening to. |
Very true. But I found amazing initial results when I played 'Gamemaster' at a TaeKwonDo class once. I had my students doing reps on the punching bags, and once that song came on, just about everybody got into the beat and started working faster to match the song's intensity. They were all commenting on how pumped they were once the class was over and begged me to bring my CDs in more often
The only problem arose when a parent approached me afterwards and asked about the lyrics. He said "I don't know if I want my child to become 'aware of himself as a Gay-master'"
I promptly corrected him and showed him the tracklisting and how the song was spelt right afterwards.
So embaressing...I think a few people thought I was a homosexual after that one.
