I totally agree with you on this FASTDJMP3. PVD is an artist, while Tiesto is simply a good mixer. Too funny : vicks smelling kids. I've had some "dudes" approach me and ask if I wanted some vicks rubbed on my neck. Very strange!
PVD is an ARTIST????,AND TIESTO is simply good mixer.....thats bunch of CRAP man!!Are you INSANE or what???

Hm... PVD - artist. Tiesto - Entertainer. Interesting.
I wonder where does PVD's "We are alive" fit into that. That's like the most commercial track ever.
Did you ever listen to Z103.5. Guess whose name is mentioned more often. You got it right. Paul Van Dyk's name is mentioned more often. So who is the entertainer now?
Who released more videoclips? I bet ya it's Paul Van Dyk.
I didn't hear PVD's set on Wednesday, so I can't argue who performed better this time around. But from previous live-sets that I heard, Tiesto beats PVD hands down. Of course it's all a matter of opinion.
But don't saying saying, which you don't know is true(ie. PVD-artist, Tiesto-entertainer.)

OK..I neva read everything in this thread mainly cause I don't have the time....but Tiesto kicked ass over PVD in my opinion...PVD is to simplistic...well Tiesto knows how to feel the vibe.....Simple explanation I know...but that's ma story right now

PVD doesn't wave his hands and dance around cause he is too busy doing his job mixing choons unlike some other DJ's....
Naw...I'm jus kidding, all DJ's have thier own style of getting the crowd into it. PVD is not the greatest crowd DJ but he does know how to pump the crowd with his music. Also remember that he's one of those DJ's that is more comfortable spinning in Europe then in the states. I have heard that in Europe PVD always has a good time because he knows that the crowd understand his music. I can't blame him for not giving his all when he comes to TO or the states...have u seen the number of ppl that go to see him only cause they have heard that PVD is a great DJ and know absolutely nothing about his music. I remember once standing in line for Sasha and Digweed and hearing a guy in front of me saying "Dude I heard that Sasha chick is cute" !!!! WHAT THE FUCK !!!!
Anyway to say that PVD isn't that good betray's your ignorance in Dance music because PVD has been acknowledged as a pioneer in the trance scene.

i personally thought that PvD was amazing. Even though he did not interact with the crowd. My theory is that he didn't feel confortable with the set up. In the guvernment he was lit up like a christmas tree. In the KoolHaus he was more in the dark. His personality is obviously very shy. I mean I wouldn't go all crazy when I know that all light are on me and everyone is staring. I would just concentrate on my music and spin. I know that this sounds like an excuse but its a plausible theory.
I love PvD always and I really don't care what anyone says anyways.

PVD FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!
This argument never comes to an end.........cuz everyone have their own opinion on both DJs. But here are some opinions by other ppl(or you can call these facts):
In 1999, the readers of the English magazine "DJ" voted Paul Van Dyk as the "Best Music Maker and at the 1999 Music Awards in London he received the "Best international DJ award". The "Ministry of Sound” Magazine elected him as the "Best international DJ"
I would say Tiesto and PVD is pretty much on the same level........but PVD is more gifted compare to Tiesto......So I will give PVD another vote......I've seen PVD on Mayday video too and he looks very comfortable in the set like many of you said.............unlike when he is in the states.....he is more shy.......He can still spin a amzaing set because he just concentrate with the music. The energy that PVD builds up is just enormous........I could feel the vibe inside of me with his set. PVD can do some quality mixing that no one can do...........
But I do have to give credit to Tiesto for making a lot of great remixs like Delerium-Silence and BT-Dreaming.........I have to admit those are the best remix I have heard so far
I say let's start a topic to vote on Who's the better DJ: Tiesto or PVD.............I just want see how the result will come out......
