Do you know what i find absolutely hilarious? The fact that conservatives believe in a limited government, yet they feel compelled to stay in everybody else's business.
"I'm a conservative, I want a limited government, but we need to ban gay marriage, ban abortion, and ban stem cell research."
Backwards hypocrites if there ever were any.
I don't understand how you can have a debate between an affected party and an unaffected party. The Israel vs Palestine thing makes sense, both sides are affected by the decision. However, HOW is the average conservative man affected in any way by gays getting marriage, or a couple deciding to have an abortion? How can they feel so strongly about what OTHER people do with their lives when it really is none of their business.
There are some people that I will never understand. |
Not only that it's other peoples' lives, the percentage of gay people in this country is so small and those that would marry is even smaller. Why spend so much time even proposing an Amendment against it?
The only Amendment made to the Constitution that ever took away the rights of people was prohibition, and even that was repealed.
