I dont understand why people are thinking hes got more 'techy' in the past year, if im honest id say the opposite was true. He used to play far less epic 'trance' and a lot more things with an edge. (apart from in 99 when he was just totally shite, blame the trance explosion in the UK for that one)
I hope hes going to expand the techier side of his style, he plays some great music & always has done, and a lot of people havent been exposed to that yet from him. |
We don't always see eye to eye, but I agree with a lot of this statement. He is not more techy now. In fact he is way more hard or semi-hard (like NU-NRG and his own production) trance than anything else. His production reflects this as well. Listen to the remixes he made on Vorsprung Dyk Technic and you will hear a lot more acidy 303 sounds than you hear now. He still uses them a little bit, but they are not nearly as prominent.
