I was disappointed that they didn't do any free flowing track to track at all. Just stopped for around ten seconds between tracks. They had a couple of tracks that I thought sounded great, but the overall performance was substandard.

Intensify is a fantastic album though and some of their old stuff is great as well. Their mix of "For an Angel" is nothing special. I'll take the original anyday.

I just bought Intensify
Can't find their first album anywhere though

The WOW Mix of "For An Angel" is a trip...just because it doesn't stick with the PVD formula does not mean it's unworthy in any way (the speed garage-esque bassline utilized in a progressive way is something few, if any, others have done). The remixes from that area were very good (Karen Ramirez, Caspar Pound, Liquid Child, Natalie Imbruglia, etc.).

How can you possibly say they've done more downtempo trax in the past? Don't Look Now has 6 tracks below 100 bpm.

The latest BT, Chicane and PVD albums are hundreds of times more disappointing than WOWs. "Anything But You" is the only track that is wearing thin on my nerves...if anything, the album is simply more transparent than previous offerings, less sample-based and more song-based.

In my drunkenness, I recall liking a few of the tracks they played here recently. But as a live PA it was unimpressive. I love WOW. Always have, and probably always will. The sound was just shit and they didn't do much for performance. Crystal Method or, especially, Deepsky are a way more impressive live PA act. I'd rather watch Nick spin records. That's just me.

Nite, that was not all directed singly at you, so please don't take it as such. Just a general commentary regarding points made in this thread. I've seen Deepsky before, and had to take a seat after 5 minutes....they weren't very thrilling, just over the top, IMO. Crystal Method in the past was good, yes, I'll give you that. But I've been rocked by a coupla' WOW PAs as well...blame your experience on the sound engineers like you said.

Way Out West DJ Set on Annie Nightingale from Radio 1 is really good.

Or Live at Soma is a good 4 hour set from 2002.
