FYI:

A) They're airforce not army or marines ... that could explain why they're holding baseball bats instead of combat rifles. Therefore they probably aren't shooting or getting shot at by anybody.
B) Their uniforms appear to be outdated. They have the old style camouflaged lined uniforms as opposed to the digital printed ones most in Iraq have. Possibly because they're not in combat or Iraq?

If anyone cared to study the "original" photo they would notice the E.O.D. which means they are part of the USAF Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

In plain english: They find and destroy unexploded bombs.
