Yes, it's a genre that is based on sharing the music to the world, a'la DJs spinning shit other then their own. |
The people that are DJ's buy the records; unless you’re big dick and artists send you shit for free. A DJ promotes the music and hopefully people will want to buy that record or more of that artists work. Notice the act of purchase NOT download. Producers and labels need to make money to live. This is not a fuckin charity campaign to feed 15 yr. old pimply face kids.
Obviously you don't understand what it means to be a DJ nor the struggles of dance music. When you become a DJ you in essence become apart of the music. It now becomes your responsibility to help shape and build it. Promoting illegal MP3's is not the action that real DJ's would favor. IT destroys the longevity of the artists, the labels, and eventually the DJ.
The morality is supporting and helping to build the artist and the music which you, as the DJ, are using. Ripping people off and using them for your own gain is immoral.
Dance music is something very special. The people, that artists, etc that make good music you enjoy should be rewarded for the effort they did. This is their occupation and as such it should be no surprise that they need to make $$ to live. If you are a DJ you should respect and embrace the people the music you use to advance your own career.
I have lost respect not only in you but also AlphaStarred for not understanding this vital principle which the music community shares.
