yeah plus it's just our animal instinct to mate and procreate... seems more and more that our species just isn't a species that stays with one partner all our lives like ... uh well i forget what other animals stay with just 1 partner all their lives, but you get the idea...

Very true - dolphins and doves are the only animals I can think of that actually mate for life - it's just not something human beings really do anymore (if ever).
I'm not an advocate for either way - monogamy or polygamy - I think that people should do what makes them honestly happy in life, regardless of what others say. At the very base of it all, when others tell you what to do, how often are they actually looking out for your best interests?

So the relating point of all this is that, regardless of what her cousins say, if she had truly felt the calling to this other person, what others urged her to do would not have mattered. Since she *did* dump him over something really stupid (what others said) it shows that he really wasn't worth it to her anyways.
