This reminds me of a situation earlier in the week, a great sports reporter was fired for plagarism last week cause part of his article was verbatim to one posted in a major American publication. Turns out the sports info pack issued by the NFL was what he took it from, a common practise in the field, and either the team plagarised the article and distributed it to the press, or the American article was using the same materials as him.
Kind of puts the quality/quantity issue of media under the microscope. |
