alright

ok, tomorrow is my first match, i'm gonna work as hard as i can.

Thanks for the tips again, i'm definalty gonna see the couch and ask for some help on the side and if i can get paired up with a different partner. The only bad thing is barely anyone is in my weight class, we have a lot of heavy weights and larger kids.

This is something i want to get good at, also i used to really be into bodybuilding(i took 9 months off which devastated me) and i always read if you work a muscle group too much it will actually deteriorate so i think it would be a good idea to rest up after practice and lift on Saturdays. Whats your intake on this? i figure i'm gonna hit the shoulders and arms hard.

I never once weight trained. I found that over time, the areas that needed to get built up did so naturally.

If that makes sense.

i lifted consantly. it hurt a lot after pratices but i kept doing it and it gave me better conditioning during matches and if i ever had to bump up a class then i knew my stregnth would help. i worked on my arms and chest mostly and my thighs and calfs about twice a week

fuck me up

Well today was the last day before Winter Break.. we still have practice everyday from 9:00-11:30 or so.
Well i was excited, last day before break gonna have a lot of fun even though practice is everyday(we got New Years and a sat/sun one).
Well this was th first day i dropped my one drill partner for a better guy(135, Varsity.. hes a junior and its his first year, get this.. hes also my sisters bf which makes him perfect). He was as heavy as my old partner but solid muscle and caught on to all the moves real fast. He gave me great pointers and worked my ass.. so i was definatly gonna excel with him.
Now to get to the point, i have weak shoulder joints(i loved working my deltoids though.. so that added some extra muscle for support). To get to the whole point we were warming up and he did a nice move, my shoulder slid out, twisted, and then got bent around. Not as bad as it sounds, happened before but cane right back in. Ambulance came, they did what they needed to do(it was out for 2 hours, i'm not gonna go on about how much the whole system sucked ass). A nerved was being stretched so unless it happened you dont know the fucking pain, especially after two hours.
The reason i'm writing this isbeacause i'm pissed, i dont get to practice or do shit with my RIGHT arm, my vacation as been fucked in the ass with a dislocated shoulder.
What i want to know is if this happened to you and basically how i can keep up with wrestling or atleast any way to help me, i mean i was really trying hard to get good.

The worst part is they said i cant fucking run, and i was cutting wait over vacation too.. the healthy way.
I wrote all this with my left hand, i'm an alright typist so dont worry if you write something i have to reply back to.

Sucks so fucking much, the hospital is the worse place, the morphine didnt work, they wouldnt give me another shot until they were about to put it back in, putting it back was the only thing that stopped the pain, it took the ******s over 2 hours to do it too.. i know that cant be good for my shoulder.

you know I did the exact same thing, its a minor dislocatiin of your shoulder, and actually it can be quite handy...my drill partner was Christine Nordhagen( I think she 6, maybe 7 time world champ) and she put me in a half nelson, I resisted, she kept going, I resisted, and really my arm popped out, flooped around and popped back in. She freaked out, and I got an advatage on her, got a heel pick, and pinned her.

u got unlucky in that your arm didnt pop back in. Mine did. so I cant really give advice on what to do. But really dude, listen to the docs. I messed my knee in the semi for bronze, but still won. and I didnt want fourth, so against the docs advice, I wrestled in the bronze medal match...not only did I fuck it up more while in severe pain, but I withdrew cuz of it. Hobbling off the mat during a medal match isnt fun @ all.

altho I dont think having your arm out of your shoulder wont do any damage. Its the action of putting it out and back in(and moving it once its out) that does the damage...so if it was supported well, then you could sit there as long as you like(well, minues the pain)

still, I feel sorry for ya. Hope recovery is speedy, and if insurance covers it, try to see a physiotherapist for some quick rehab
