He can only buy vinyl at his record store?! Thats a really weak arguement. Playing the same tunes in every city is unacceptable. |
no, its acceptable and its understandable! just how many records do you expect him to carry with him on a tour?

dude, just how many records should he bring with him? wtf?! youre asking him to spin different tunes everynight?? he brings a limited number of records on his tour, and thats why he plays the same tunes... think before you post some stupidity like that... if he were in europe close to his record store, but he's travelling half way across the world!!!! |
I'll have to agree with TranceGeek here....
I've said the same thing months ago when everybody was attacking Oakenfold during his "Another World" world tour... (and that case was even MORE so, b/c Oakie was doing a tour for the double-CD, so of course he's going to spin tracks off the double-CD)....
Tiesto is touring the nation. There is a set of songs that everyone knows and loves. Tiesto isn't banking on the SAME people visiting every city to see his every set, so how can you expect him to bring a million records? Tiesto can't help that you downloaded his "Trance Energy Set" from 2 months ago, and listened to it a million times on your CD player so now you're sick of those tracks. Think of all the non-TA people who go to these events (i.e. the majority of the concertgoers)... who DON'T have his other livesets on CD. To these people, they are having the time of their lives.
I know you can't please everyone all the time, but if you were in his shoes, wouldn't you want to please the Majority? why not? I saw him last weekend in Miami, and i know a lot of the tunes, but you know what? 90% of them are BETTER in a club environment, and when you know the tunes, you can sing along or dance to the beat, b/c you know when its going to breakdown.
I just honestly think that TG, if you weren't so critical of the performances and so quick to analyze all of them (and i'm not just saying about this time, i mean in general), that you might enjoy them more. And i love PvD too, but you never seem to criticize ANY of his sets.... and he DOES spin some repeat records! But we don't complain b/c we LOVE the songs! The same should go for Tiesto and Oakenfold.
About Das Glockenspiel and PPK i agree with - why is Tiesto spinning those tracks? but hey, 2 tracks out of a set isn't THAT bad!

i agree with u here....hearing the songs in the club environment is soooooo much better, the baSS, the lights, the atmosphere, the people dancing and having fun, and you dancing to the beat knowing the rythym of the tune....that's the real LOVE of trance!
hey, ABT, how come u always come up with intelligent things to say??
