Why? It's dark, energetic, beautifully paced and the lead hook is killer. It's an example of just how to do a big anthem right.

I actually think it's a pretty good track right up until about the 2:20 mark. Nice layerd arpeggios, hypnotic sounding trance. In fact I think that if classic trance was produced today it would sound something like those first 2:20. I feel it could have been made into a right pretty track had Tiesto not chosen to add a uselessly long two minute breakdown and grandiloquent anthem. Before you get started, increasing the length of the breakdown and volume of the lead synth does not make a good track better and =! evolution either. At least not positive evolution.

And one of the better of the past decade? Why that's just plain ignorant.

I do agree the breakdown is long, but I actually sit through it without complaint because it's handled so well. Also, I have a version where the DJ has got rid of a lot of the breakdown by doing a live re-edit. And try the Way Out West remix if you like the non-anthem sections.

Way Out West remix is good.. but the original smells "Silence" all the way

Happy happy joy joy. No criticism makes all music good, yep, that's the way it works.

if you are so unhappy with the genre, the way to shed light on better stuff is not by ripping everything. Start a thread about some DJ/Tunes/Radio station/producer that you think deserves some recognition.

There have been alot of threads like that, it's just that they last for about 10 minutes. People don't like to talk about the good stuff as much as the bad stuff.

I like this thread, you hear alot of thought out opinions about tracks. This thread has alot of smart debates in it.

one could argue that every release on vandit is bad, since paul hammers the track for about a year before he lets it see the light of day, and everyone is sick of it by than But the tracks are usually good.
