Tu Face - return the mk5g's & get 1 of those 2300 mk2 pro's

Then you can give me a 1st hand review on it to let me know if its worth buying over the mk5g's!

I'd rather have reliability and resale value over useless features

i would rather have a deck that can deal with a feather duster

reliabilty? pffft.

besides, name the useless feature on the mk2 pro please?

j-arm - less skipping than s arm, low record wear
ultrapitch - take a listen to the set i did in my sig, this was impossible without it
reverse - good for little tricks
the joystick thing - good for alterations without touching the record

which one is useless (unless of course you don't have the balls to try something different every now and again)?

just contacted my dealer, they told me to check the internal fuses lol, it was them. if that voids the warranty i will cry, but its certainly easier than sending the deck back to them, and very much cheaper.

I will never understand why people always put down Vestax products. They make some really good stuff.

Ok, so Technics have made a very good deck and I personally wouldn't urinate on a Numark even if it was on fire (Personal preference), the Vestax deck is a lot better than people think. Arguably better than a Technics.
I still personally prefer Technics, but I would never feel bad if I had to play at a venue with Vestax.

yes its under warranty, i was going to send it back but they assured me that i wouldn't be voiding the warranty if i replaced the fuse underneath the platter.

if i would have had to send it back, i would have swapped it for the mk2 pro, but its less faff to pop down to b&q and buy the fuse.

nem: i wholeheartedly agree. i think if someone can't mix well after 10 minutes on a pair of vestax, then they are a pants dj.

You can't replace the fuse yourself? I've never had to but I've worked on my decks before and I've seen the fuse its not very hard to get to.

Hm...two people in this thread have had problems with their techs.

There was a thread a couple days ago about problems with techs.

And now a new thread has been created about pitch problems with techs.

Now the first pdx 2000s had problems (tone arm, and some people had the platters go wobbly) But these new ones are solid.
