deppends on how i feel... since i am my own crowd it doesnt much matter to me.. if im not feeling too energetic ill pop a sqwat behind the decks, light a J, and mix for hours on end

if im feelin good ill stand

the whole height thing is VERY important to all you newcomers to spinning out there... if you dont have it at the right height you'll find yourself in pain after the first couple tracks

and before anyone asks, there is no set height to spin at... just whatever feels comfy for you

hey guys.. i guess this is my first post. ive been lurking for a while on the site for probably 2 years and finally decided to reg.

when i got my tables, i had to use a coffee table and an armchair for a while which hurt my back after about 20 mins. when i converted to standing, everything was much easier! i havent seen a dj sit down at a club or anything, but if he did, id think of him to be more of an electronics operator than an entertainer.

actually, i've found that having the decks to the height of your elbow (so that you can have it in a 90 degree angle when you cue up) is a good rule of thumb.

I have the top of my decks at like my hip bone, I find thats the most comfortable height for me to spin at.

i dunno, i only spin in my living room now, but i sit sometimes, but stand while im actually using the equipment. sometimes its nice to just sit down, close your eyes, turn the volume on your headphones up, and just drift off into the music...

but tahts just me in the privacy of my own home.

Completely forgot about this thread..

I'll have to try and sort something out then for a table.. dunno where i'm going to put my decks though.

I can either put them in my garage (seperate to the house and can probably play my music quite loud there) Or in my bedroom but that will wake/annoy the whole house...

nelly..

ps. i've got a picture of my garage posted in the "Remodeling Basement" thread..

at home, it depends on my mood/available setup. in our new house i didnt have a table, so i mixed sitting down with my decks on the floor (killed my back). i just brought my decks to college and the only table i could get is way too short, like right below my butt. (we are 'borrowing' it from my dorm lounge) so i sit down sometimes, but would prefer to stand. in clubs or at an event, standing without question

razzi.
