Yeah, for god's sake I think the gay community can handle some trance already..... Holy hanna! All the gay people I hang out with *hate* that standard pots and pans, circuit shit....

It would be a huge risk, but damn it would be fun....

If Armin would come to a gay event, maybe I could seduce him back to my house afterwards....
:-)

The one and only, pioneer of freeform, hailing from Kent, UK.

And I was only half-serious

I don't think you should have trance as the headliner for Prism. It's not suited to the audience as much as house music.

That being said, a big name house DJ like Eric Morillo, Sanchez or Derrick Carter would be a big hit with a lot of people. What about a female headliner? (and I DONT mean Tracy Young. Bleh.) DJ Colette, Heather, or Dayota who are all amazing Chicago house DJs.

Seems to me that a lot of the gay scene is exploring house music outside the diva side of things. The fact that Chus and Ceballos (sp?) and Demi were the hits of the Boa NYE party (which had a big gay attendance) speak to this.

I am also available to play at prism again this year (if you were wondering)

+1 to Chus & Ceballos for Prism. I'd come out for that

(and I think you kept me from losing my mind when the awful stage shows came on, haha)

so is there going to be another room or an outdoor tent?

Scoring the Orange Room would be AWESOME!!!

Hey Skipper - thanks for the great suggestions. Without giving too much away, there will be a local DJ showcase again this year and I will try to put you in a really good time slot. The Orange Room is a possibility for the showcase but it is more likely to be a giant tent.

Haven't seen you out and about lately. We must be travelling in different circles these days.

Mark T - There's going to be a completely different approach this year as far as the 'stage shows' go. In fact, there might not be any. We're going to try to have the entertainment off and on through the night without interrupting the DJ. The entertainment should be more ambient. (Hey, screw buying the car and spend your money on a trip to WMC in Miami with me at the end of March instead )
