I'm going to have to agree with most here... Armin really isn't the one who should be teaching how to mix and/or scratch.

Exactly the point I was just about to make. Yeah we all can sit here and debate why or why not Armin should have been picked for the topic of scratching because we all know more about EDM in general than most (especially here in the States where it's not nearly as popular as in Europe), but the most important aspect of it all is the exposure it gives to the genre.
