gotta agree with you on that. even though I still like prog it still doesn't hold a light to trance.
hopefully I'll see you for Ultra, eddie.

naw man i'll never slander anyone who has an honest opinion about something. when i see personal attacks is when i just disregard everything.
If you look at ferry's track record there has never been an artist quiet like him. Meaning, his records have been in everyones boxes at some point. He was mr. 99(along w/ matt darey & oakenfold). His sound has changed in the last, 2 years maybe? His records are still found in everyones boxes and it will always be that way. Go look at discogs and think of how many tracks he made huge. I'm pretty sure he is the greatest living trance producer(still making trance). The only reason he isn't the best or didn't become the most popular was because of his own choice. He moved onto a different sound and thats fine, i accept it. Don't forget who he was before that though.

Ferry Corsten - Cubikated
This track alone shows that the man has balls to play the funkiest shit out there. Its so far out there compared to the trance you are used to hearing you just have to love it. Fuckin awesome.

Cubikated is ace!
What annoys me is when people say, "Oh he's only playing and producing electro now"
All you gotta do is listen to stuff like, Sweet Sorrow (Fix Mix) or the flashover mix of It's Time or the Force Of Gravity remix, or any of his new stuff to know thats not true.
It's just a new style of trance that hes playing. Sure its got an electro feel but its not full on electro productions at all.
I think his new style kicks ass!

The only big DJ (part from Zabiela) I've seen live. My favorite DJ/producer... no matter how shitty he might become in the future, he'll always rock me.

To each his own - I guess. First rule of DJing listen to and play what YOU like, so more power to you! But to me Ferry is a playboy sellout. The days of Gouryella and Veracocha are long gone. He's gone the way of Armin, who is now a shitty radio DJ, and my old buddy Tijs who is, well for the veteran TranceAddicts I needn't say more on the fall of Tiesto and PVD, a.k.a. DJ Trainwreck. Veterans, am I wrong?

Thanks to those of you that did something positive and threw some artist names at me.
No there isn't much Trance in Alaska. In fact none whatsoever where i live(on a very small island). I do however have some wicked lights in my livingroom so every night is GateCrasher.
All the debates about who sucks and who doesn't really doesn't do anything for me. Obviously we like what we like and that's all that matters. I like Corsten becuase (much of)his music is extreme, especially his live stuff. Same goes for some of Tiestos. Much of the other stuff i've heard like Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyke etc... just seem rather bland to me. Kleinenberg i haven't heard yet so i'll check him out. Honestly, as much as i love trance it doesn't really matter what kind of electronic music it is as long as it has extreme emotional peeks. That's why enjoy Corsten so much. I am however still listening to a lot of stuff from four years ago since there's still much i haven't yet heard.
