Actually, SQ (Singapore Airlines) will be the first commercial airline to fly the A380 on 2006. The only airport right now to accomodate the A380 is Munich (or they are nearly complete). By 2010, there will only be about 72 airports (I recall reading this in some journal, but maybe the number is wrong) which can accomodate the A380, so it will be a while until the A380 can be flown to nearly every airport.

The best thing about Vigin Atlantic, is the bar in the upper deck!! Complete with bar stools, bartender, etc..plus the flight attendants in VS are pretty hot too!

Since Emirates Airlines will be flying to Toronto in 2007 (to YTO not YYZ).. the massive fuel capacity of these planes are enough to carry you half way across the world without having to stop over at London/Amsterdam/France.

Even if they will fly from Emirates to Toronto - they would never use that new Airbus for a direct flight...there might be 50 people MAX that will be flying back and forth...that plane is WAY too big for Toronto!!! And most people won't be able to afford it. If it was NY or LA or some other MAJOR city then sure

You are probably right. The A380 would be too big for a DXB-YYZ route. But EK do fly daily to JFK from DXB on a A340 (500 or 600, I can't remember), and to my knowledge are doing pretty well in that route. If and when EK are to fly here, the aircraft of choice would be the A340.
