i just don't understand.

How the hell do you come up with theories like these?

you make it sound if trance is some gulfwar issue.

it's just music, like it or leave it, who cares if ASOT continues or stops.

.

I would love for Sander to do a consistent radio show, but I'm wondering how that is going to help trance.

He's a house and prog dj, mainly, with a few tracks bordering trance.

I don't think you quite got my point. Of course, there are far better shows than ASOT but, a show less leads to less exposure which in turn leads to decrease in popularity(for the lack of a better word). For a surviving genre like trance, even the slightest decrease in exposure can be a significant difference. That's just my prediction. I was not making a statement, just giving my opinions and asking for more.
Incidentally, where i'm at i.e Bangkok, trance is non-existent. There was a HUGE rave culture back in '99-'00 but now all i get to hear is the same old Ian Van Dahl and Sandstorm in the select few places that actually play trance. People are not even aware of trance after that '99 era.

no i dont think so. just maybe in the mainstream exposure of the music. but trance is made and loved IN THE CLUB and not on the radio. as long as the clubs are open, trance will thrive.

the staff at Di.fm ...cough i said the name, has to be some of the most sexually frustrated and cofused lil boys out there. They stream all these channels of music, but mostly cater to trance or artists of that genre. They have a jazz channel, and salsa...and for what, do we ever see live salsa or nu jazz sets, no. Also di.fm is the most random station, especially in its guests.

Pah. If anything, the fall of ASOT is the best thing to happen for trance in over a year.

Get back to the music, and away from the marketing. Let more worthy distribution channels fill the void.
