Ask him if he's ever planning to use his law degree and/or how much it helps him in the music business.

Granted you already may have enough material, but just wanted to mention I interviewed a few bands for my friend's magazine and the consensus was they really liked to hear questions that dealt with their lives outside music, since they always get questions about how old they were when they started, what they're influences were, etc.

My advice would be to put his background in the intro to the interview and focus on what he's currently working on and the future and then get into other things about him that he might not normally have been asked before. My 2 cents, but by all means use the tactics you feel would work best.

Besides the legal question I had before, maybe you could ask him:
-what non-EDM he's been listening to lately
-what he thinks about some political issues (I liked hearing his comments about drug regulations in Cyrus King's video)
-how much success his label has had with the rising popuarity of legal mp3 sites

Good luck!

Yeah!, that's the line im gonna take on the interview, i know he's for sure, tired of answering the same kind of questions everytime he gets an interview.

Thanks for the tips.

damn I was gonna say something along those lines... well here it is anyways

ask him if he got his law degree before becoming a popular dj, and why he chose law as a course of study.

where did you go to college, and did you excel at your schoolwork?

what are some of your most embarassing dj moments?

what do you feel is your greatest accomplishment as a dj/producer?

what musicians/genres of music were most influential when you were a beginning dj?

If you decided not to spin trance, what genre of EDM would you most likely see yourself spinning?
