It's a lot different. But if you approach it with this knowledge, and an open mind, odds are you will like it a lot. I do.
I still consider Discovery to be their most untouchable album though.
I have mixed feelings about this album after hearing it for the first time. My general impression is that the tracks are harder and less 'housy' than the ones in Discovery and Homework. I like what I hear, and there are no bad tracks. But I must admit that I miss that house sound they've had in their previous productions. Their new direction is still nice though.
As stated earlier in this thread, this music needs time, lots of it. This is music that will grow on you, atleast Homework and Discovery did. I think Human After All will do that too.
Favourite tracks so far: Technologic, Television rules the nation, Emotion

Overall I feel this album is a bit of success; not entirely magnificent, but like a couple of you have stated here already there seem to be a copule of very creative tracks. I particularly like Technologic and Emotion.
It does seem, like one of you wrote, that they seemed to return to their roots and created a Homework-esque album - very repetitive, simplistic, but put beautifully together. This is the avant-garde Daft that I remember. I'm kind of glad they returned to that formula as opposed to continue with the Disco vibe that they poured into "Disco""Very" album (which I still happened to live very much).
The only think that I really, really disliked about this album was the fact that the average song duration is about 5 minutes long. It seems like the song is over before I can really get into it.

All I've heard is Technologic. Yeah, I like it. I smell much use of this accapella in the coming months.
